Another Grey Patchwork Bag

I used several smaller pieces on this one and patched them together for the front, which gives nice detail.

It's lined with more of that bright floral print cotton that I found a few yards of at the flea market.

A beautiful dark grey, very soft and very durable. In one customer's words, "bulletproof".

Don't shoot at my bag. Haha.

Want to Snuggle?

I am tempted to snuggle up with this bag. Must be lambswool. So soft and "pilly" when felted. And the chocolate brown color? Yum.

It's got a double pull through strap. Pretty cool because I thrifted two identical belts and found a perfect use for them together!

Pure fabric love going on here. And you can see the how the straps work.

I left the buckle ends on both belts, on the inside of the bag. Husband wants to know why. I say, "Why not?"

See the pilling? No cares. It will stop eventually.

Trees

I made these yesterday and 'felt' so wonderful about the results. These wool beads were felted a second time after sewing. And the shirred trunk is from some wonderful woven wool fabric that I scored at Dickson City's famous Circle Drive In flea market.

And there's that bowl again. Do you know how much I love imperfect rustic beauty? Especially when it's thrifted second hand for pennies.

This one is the larger of the two, about 10"w x 10 1/2" h.

Then I was able to make one more with the same sweater. I like it's asymmetrical shape. Just like the trees in the forest.

I thought the second one would be smaller, using up what was left of the beads from this wonderful sweater, but this one measures 9 1/2" x 10 1/2".

And of course, there's that bowl again. Color match, I say.

Teal… Too Bad It Wasn’t a Bigger Sweater!

I absolutely love this color, and I will admit I was a little disappointed at how tiny the sweater was when I took it from the dryer!

But, I made the best of it and turned it into an adorable little preppy bag.

I pieced together some scraps to make the sides, which have little tucks to help with shape.

Inside, there's a little floral surprise, with flowers that match the teal.

More Burgundy and Grey

I ended up with so much burgundy to work with, and so eventually took a risk. I deviated from trying to have everything symmetrical and perfect.

Made some coasters, too. But they are soooo symmetrical. Something for everyone, right?

One day I'll make some of these for myself.
